An Auspicious Time for BodyTalk Sessions
The below was shared by the International BodyTalk Association (IBA).
“On January 12, 2020, a special astrological event will occur—a Saturn-Pluto conjunction in the sign of Capricorn. This last occurred 502 years ago in January of 1518. This was the time of the Protestant Revolution which marked a period of tremendous reform in political, economic and religious spheres.
In the BodyTalk: Macrocosmic BodyMind Course (Mod 6), we learn that Saturn represents the qualities of order and discipline, which, at a global level, are often represented by economic and political structures. Individually, if we are able to live in harmony with Saturn’s energies of discipline, responsibility and realistic expectations, we are rewarded with the wisdom born of experience. If, however, we are out of balance with Saturn, struggle and suffering can result in the form of depression, limitation, stagnation, and misfortune. (Note, these are all key words and archetypes that you learn in the Mod 6 course).
From the Macrocosmic BodyMind Manual, “Pluto (also known as Hades) was the god of the underworld… He represents the mysteries of creation in that something needs to be destroyed in order for something new to be rebuilt. This includes “killing” the old self so that we can be born anew… Pluto demands that we sacrifice ourselves to an evolving social order or to use every available resource to determine the form of that evolution.”
Pluto also relates to control in the form of large social movements, such as governments, religions, corporations, etc. It represents the cycles of change that occur in civilizations over decades and generations, including the rise and fall of these power structures.
The astrological sign of Capricorn is associated with the 10th house which relates to orderly and “stable” organizations and authorities. It is outwardly focused and connected to career, achievement and recognition.
Saturn and Pluto in conjunction in this way points to a turning point in humanity’s evolution. Both planets are considered to represent a sort of “tough love” energy in terms of both personal and collective evolution. Pluto’s energy of transformation points to this, and Saturn represents that which needs to be released in order for us to move into a new cycle. As a representative of both death and rebirth, Pluto can be seen as a destroyer of all that is false and deceitful. These two planets coming together offers an opportunity to evolve into a new and truer paradigm. It is an opportunity to purge the psychological-ancestral-historical baggage that prevents us from aligning more clearly with an authentic version of ourselves.
Transformation frequently starts on an individual level in each of us before expanding out to larger social constructs. To contribute to your own transformation and also support larger societal reform, we encourage you to do a lot of extra self-care this time of year. One way to practice self-care is to receive BodyTalk sessions.
We wish you a happy, healthy and balanced holiday season.
Warmly,
The IBA Staff”
